Lancashire County Masters Competition

Congratulations to all those who took part in the Lancashire Masters Competition and a big thank you to the officials and helpers who facilitated the meet.

We are pleased to announce that the Lancashire County Masters will be held on Sunday 4th September at Blackpool Palatine Pool.
Session 1 warm up 9.00am start 9.45 am
Session 2 warm up 12.30 pm start 1.15 pm

As ever, the competition will be open to the wider Masters community, from clubs not affiliated to Lancashire County.

The 2017 County Championships will be held on the week-ends of
28th/29th January and 4th/5th February 2017
Both week-ends will be at Manchester Aquatics Centre
The full pack will be circulated in the autumn.
Malcolm Wilson

Lancashire and North West Swimming are mourning the recent death of Referee Malcolm Wilson, following a short but brave battle against cancer.
Malcolm was a friend and mentor to so many within the swimming community, a true gentleman in whom there was no guile.
He has enriched the swimming world through his invaluable contribution over so many years, particularly in relation to the training and development of officials.
A past member of the Lancashire County Executive, Past President of Bolton & District S&WPA and a Life Member of the North Lancs Association, Malcolm will be greatly missed by his many friends in the swimming community.
We extend our heart felt condolences to Malcolm’s wife Vivien and his son and daughter.
Donations can be made in memory of Malcolm to either “Bolton Hospice” or “The Christie” Charity.

National Inter- County Team Champions 2015

The successful Lancashire Inter-County Champion team were presented with commemorative salvers at the 2016 County Age Group Championships.

Pat Gabbitas Bursary 2016

The Lancashire Executive have now extended the Bursary to cover teaching/coaching courses provided by all ASA accredited tutors.
It is no longer a requirement that the course has to be provided by the IOS, provided that it is recognised by the ASA, who are the accrediting body.
Lancashire Clubs may apply for funding in respect of courses provided by any ASA accredited training organisation since 1st October 2015.
